As you know Pat Standish is looking to reach her goal of 1,000 backpacks to distribute to children affected by the June floods. In the 2006-07 enacted New York State Budget, Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) received a $300 million appropriation to implement the Restore NY Communities Initiative or the "Restore NY Initiative" to help revitalize neighborhoods, and leverage private sector investment as a means to retain and attract residents and businesses.
