New York State Department of State, Division of Community Services/CSBG. Under leadership of the Secretary of State, the Division of Community Services [DCS] administers the Community Services Block Grant [CSBG] program in New York State. The Governor, in accordance with current federal statute, designated DOS as lead agency for CSBG administration. DOS has held this responsibility since creation of this Block Grant in 1981. FDANYS. The Family Development Association of New York State (FDANYS) is dedicated to supporting the growth of individuals, families, and communities by promoting the Family Development Philosophy and excellence of family workers. FDANYS was created through the collaborative effort of New York State agencies and, particularly, New York State Department of State and Community Action Agencies throughout the State. Incorporated in 1998, FDANYS is a membership organization for Family Development professionals and the families and communities with whom they work. It is implemented and supported by eight regions in NYS with a Board of Directors representing those Regions as well as five statewide organizations affecting families in New York State. NYSWDA. The New York State Weatherization Directors' Association (NYSWDA) is committed to developing new opportunities in support of its membership, linking sound public policy with the concepts of energy conservation and economic self sufficiency, resulting in safe, healthy and affordable housing for low income families in New York State. The Association represents the directors of the 67 sub-grantees that operate the Department of Energy's Weatherization Program (WAP) in the state of New York. Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy. Founded in 1872, the Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy (SCAA), is a statewide, nonprofit policy analysis and advocacy organization working to shape policies that improve the economic security and health status of low and moderate income New Yorkers, and help all children become capable adults. Fiscal Policy Institute. The Fiscal Policy Institute (FPI) is a nonpartisan research and education organization that focuses on the broad range of tax, budget, economic and related public policy issues that affect the quality of life and the economic well-being of New York State residents. Founded in 1991, FPI's work is intended to further the development and implementation of public policies that create a strong economy in which prosperity is broadly shared by all New Yorkers. New Yorkers For Fiscal Fairness. New Yorkers for Fiscal Fairness is a coalition of faith-based, labor, human services and grassroots organizations across the State. NYFF is the lead agency for the Better Choice Campaign, committed to investing in the future of New York by making smart revenue and budget balancing choice rather than through massive spending cuts. NYS Head Start Association (NYSHSA). The New York State Head Start Association provides services and support to its members. NYSHSA is an organization the represents the interests of the entire New York State Head Start community, including children, families, programs, and communities. NYSHSA represents its members at the state, Region II, and national levels. NYSHSA represents over 200 Head Start programs serving 49,500 children and their families. Community Action Angels is dedicated to assisting Community Action for Wyoming County in their efforts to meet the needs of the low income and the disadvantaged population by providing volunteers that will bring to this agency resources from the community to meet those needs.
