FDANYS. The Family Development Association of New York State (FDANYS) is dedicated to supporting the growth of individuals, families, and communities by promoting the Family Development Philosophy and excellence of family workers. FDANYS was created through the collaborative effort of New York State agencies and, particularly, New York State Department of State and Community Action Agencies throughout the State. Incorporated in 1998, FDANYS is a membership organization for Family Development professionals and the families and communities with whom they work. It is implemented and supported by eight regions in NYS with a Board of Directors representing those Regions as well as five statewide organizations affecting families in New York State.
